Seasons
03:47
|

Summer's always waiting on the Fall
To alleviate the heat
That's become so sickly
And it makes no sense to me at all
Why we're running through
This life so quickly
And I don't think that I will ever be
Everything I could within this life expectancy
For it's all moving by so fast
Tighten my grip but it won't last
Naked trees are waiting on the snow
To come gently down
And cover them in blankets
And they spend their time achingly alone
Always reaching out
A true test of their patience
And I don't think we'll ever understand
Why God has gone and dealt you such an unforgiving hand
Though I know you can make it through
You'll keep your perseverance true
Winter's always waiting on the spring
To thaw out the ground
And give the birds a chance to sing
It's finally time to wake up from your dream
The world's out there calling
And you can be anything

Far Away
04:09
|
|||
I’m standing at the summit of a mountain
I can see the covered snow caps from way down here
And although I know it’s so far away
I feel as if it’s so very near
Well you know as well as I do
This illusion is something we could see through if we tried
And I know I’ll always find you
To be there by your side
Help each other make this climb
These rocks are all shifting as they crumble
I follow close behind you to break your fall
And although you know I’m so far away
I’ll always come running when you call

Suspended
05:23
|
|||
There’s a tree outside that wants to be growing
But the stormy skies said they’ll just keep snowing
There’s a place in time where things can go right
But lately I have been on the other side
Met a man in town who tried to be a good father
Can’t put the bottle down. Now he’s lost his daughter
Mama found a new love. Yeah, she’s finally happy
He gives baby girl hugs, now she calls him daddy
We try so hard but things don’t work out like we’ve intended
And we live our lives pushing problems to the side so that they’re suspended
And this ignorance is what has led me to this thought process
But I’m afraid, I ain’t strong enough to do anything about that yet
She hears a voice in her head that just won’t be quiet
It’s getting louder she says as she tries to fight it
One day she might find bliss, Only time will tell
But you know that time is a bitch, How I wish I could help
We try so hard but things don’t work out like we’ve intended
And emotions hide, bottled up inside so that they’re protected
And my heart just aches when I think of what life puts us through
So now bury your mistakes and try to find the best in you

Stardust
03:21
|
|||
The moon will rise, always
And the sun will come to greet the day
What if one day it doesn’t
And we would all turn to stardust
The world is spinning all the time
Never stops to breathe or unwind
But what if one day it does
And life would end just because
So what’s the sense in worrying
We suffer everyday
While in the blink of an eye it could all go away
People never get along
We all play to the beat of a different song
But what if I said that didn’t matter
And we could live in harmony together
So what’s the sense in worrying
We suffer everyday
While in the blink of an eye it could all go away

Talking To Myself
03:50
|
|||
A death occurs every time
You let the thought go by
Waving to the wind
You feel no shame
You think you’re not to blame
But you’re slipping away again
There’s so much left to say
But who’s really listening anyway?
That’s why I’m talking to myself
Just talking to myself
A shape is formed by design
When you cannot decide
Refusing to make a sound
Your mind is short
These feelings sure do hurt
But nothing can make them drown
There’s so much left to say
But who’s really listening anyway?
That’s why I’m talking to myself
Just talking to myself
Just talking to myself
